I began my career in electrical engineering, designing industrial power and control systems where every change had to account for the larger system around it.
I moved into professional software development in 2020. Since then, I have built web applications, internal tools, data interfaces, and automation while also taking responsibility for cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and Microsoft 365 administration.
That range helps me follow a problem beyond the interface, through the API, data model, permissions, deployment environment, and the day-to-day work the software supports.
How I Work
I start by understanding what someone is trying to do and where the existing software gets in their way. That might mean following a task through several screens, tracing a bug through the backend, or checking assumptions in the data and permissions.
For larger changes, I write down the intended behavior, constraints, and acceptance criteria before implementation. I break the work into changes that can be reviewed and tested, adjusting the plan when the existing application reveals something the initial design missed.
I check complete user journeys as well as individual functions, including failure cases and the behavior around them. Coding agents help with research and implementation, but I review the changes and remain responsible for what gets released.
